- A teaspoon of olive oil
- Six cloves garlic, crushed
- 675 gr flank steak, cut against its grain into four slices
- Salt and black pepper as the seasoning
- A can of crushed tomatoes
- 50 ml beef broth (low sodium)
- One carrot, chopped
- Two pieces of bay leaves
- Two sprigs of fresh thyme
- 448 gr pappardelle pasta
- Parmesan cheese, ricotta along with the chopped parsley as the garnish
1First of all, prepare a small skillet and heat it with olive oil over medium-high heat. After the oil is hot, add with the crushed garlic and stir for around 2 minutes until the color of the garlic turns golden with a bit of brown. Also, you can smell fragrant.
2Then, prepare a large bowl and put the sliced flank steak in it. Here, you need to season them. So, also add a teaspoon of salt and pepper to the bowl. Make sure you season all parts of the steak with the seasoning ingredients. Then, set aside for a while.
3Next, prepare the slow cooker and put the seasoned flank steak into the slow cooker. Also, add other ingredients in it, like the crushed tomatoes, the beef broth, carrots, thyme, bay leaves and the garlic you have been cooked before. If you have included all of the ingredients in the slow cooker, follow the next step below.
4Put the lid of the slow cooker on and cook the ingredients over low heat for around 8 to 10 hours. When it is completely cooked, you may remove the herbs out of the mixture and transfer the beef to pot. Here, you need to shred the meat using forks.
5Now, you need to cook the pasta. Simply follow the instructions written in the package. Then, don’t forget to drain the pasta and bring it back to the pot. Cook the pasta along with the sauce taken from the slow cooker over high heat for around one minute until both the pasta and the sauce are completely combined.
To serve, you need to prepare around eight bowls and put the pasta along with the beef in each bowl. Also, if you want, you may give the garnish on top of each bowl with parmesan cheese, ricotta, and the chopped parsley.
