How to Make Quick And Easy Mexican Shrimp Skillet

  • One ¼ kilogram of shrimp, peeled and deveined finely
  • Two tsp of olive oil
  • Two jalapeno peppers, remove the seeds and chopped finely
  • One small onion, minced
  • Three cloves of garlic, chop it
  • One bell pepper (red or green), cubed
  • One tsp of ground cumin
  • One tsp of ground coriander
  • ½ tsp of black pepper
  • Two tsp of chilli powder
  • Cilantro leaves, chopped
  • One lime juice
  • Sufficient salt to taste


1Clean up the peeled shrimp by washing them in cold water. Set aside to drained. Prepare the large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil. Saute the onions and peppers up to 6 minutes before getting the good tenderness. Don’t forget to stir frequently to prevent overcooking.

2Add the garlic, cubes bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, chilli powder, ground cumin and ground coriander. Saute more for 30 seconds. Add black pepper and salt to taste. Then, add the cleaned shrimp into the skillet and cook until getting the redness. Flip the shrimp in another side. It takes about 3 minutes per side.

3After that, remove from the heat and place on a plate. For more garnish, serve with the chopped cilantro leaves and squeeze a lime juice. Your special Mexican shrimp is ready to enjoy immediately while still hot. It’s better to enjoy with white rice and fresh drink.
