  • A tablespoon of olive oil
  • One and a half cups of diced onion
  • Two cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 lb of smoked Kielbasa, slice thickly
  • Two cups of low-sodium chicken broth
  • 10 oz of diced tomatoes
  • 8 oz of dry pasta
  • A half cup of milk or you can use heavy cream
  • A half teaspoon of salt and pepper
  • A cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup of thin sliced of scallions for garnish


1First of all, you need to prepare a large pan and preheat over the medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of olive oil. After that, put the smoked Kielbasa and the diced onion into the large pan, and then fry it until well cooked. Add the garlic into it, and cook it again until it comes fragrant.

2Still, in the same large pan, pour the low-sodium chicken broth into it, followed by diced tomatoes, a half cup of milk and heavy cream, also the dry pasta.
