How to make Blackened Shrimp Pasta

For the Blackening season:
- a teaspoon of oregano
- a half teaspoon of cumin
- a tablespoon of smoked paprika
- a teaspoon of thyme
- a quarter teaspoon of each garlic and onion powder
- a quarter teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- salt and cracked pepper for taste
For the shrimp pasta:
- A pound of peeled medium shrimp
- Two cloves of garlic
- Two tablespoons of butter
- three green onions, diced
- 8 oz of pasta
- 15 oz of diced tomatoes
- Fresh parsley leaves for the garnish
- A lemon
- A half cup of pasta water
1First, prepare a small bowl, and add every ingredient for making the blackening season. Mix it all well and set aside. Then, prepare the shrimp by rinsing the shrimp under the cold water, then drain well. Put it on a paper towel to dry. Put the clean shrimp into the blackening season. Make sure that the shrimp coated well with the season.
2Prepare a large pot, and fill it with the water. Put the uncooked pasta there, and boil until it tenders for about 7-10 minutes. Drain the pasta, and add a little bit of oil to prevent sticking. Put in another plate. Then, prepare a large skillet. Put the butter until it melted, and mince the garlic. If the butter already melted, add the minced garlic over medium heat until the butter starts to foam.
3Saute the minced garlic, then add the cleaned shrimp. Saute the shrimp until it is slightly firm. After that, remove the shrimp from the skillet. In the same skillet, add the diced tomatoes and the pasta water. Cook over the medium heat. Let it simmer until it thickened. Taste the sauce and add the salt if it is needed. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, and toss it with the sauce, make sure the pasta well coated with the sauce. Add the cooked shrimp into it and combine. Add the sliced green onion and the chopped parsley for the topping. Squeezed a lemon over the top.
